What Is It?

The CAD/CAM Audit tests and quantifies the state of your CAD/CAM operations and plans. The Audit uses a standardized, proven methodology to provide a cost effective evaluation of your CAD/CAM procedures and techniques; a review of the technical and operational aspects of how well CAD/CAM supports your engineering and manufacturing departments and long term company strategy. A final report delivers a foundation for the continuous improvement of your operations. These recommendations should save you at least three times the cost of the audit in the first year of use, if carried out as designed.

How Is It Conducted?

The audit involves four intensive days of interviews with key department employees and an observation of your actual operations. We will develop documentation, analysis, and an evaluation of each key department’s procedures related to the use of CAD/CAM within your company. You need to make available the key department employees for the Audit interviews, assign a coordinator to assist us in scheduling the interviews, and provide access to the top levels of management to assist us in understanding your overall corporate strategy. In addition, you’ll need to make sure the key individuals are present to review our recommendations.

What Are the Audit Results?

The CAD/CAM Audit provides a foundation for the continuous improvement of your operations. The Final Report contains the three levels of recommendations. This Final report report will be prepared within two weeks after the completion of the Audit. Then we return to your site to present the findings and recommendations in an informal presentation at your location. The report contains multi-level recommendations, all aimed at increasing your level of competitiveness:

  • Level I - recommendations that can be implemented by your staff
  • Level II - projects that require minimal coaching or assistance
  • Level III - projects that should be led by our associates

We include written instructions for implementing the Level I recommendations. Our experience has shown that the Level I recommendations should save you at least three times the cost of the audit in the first year of use, if carried out as designed.
