DRM Associate's assessment methodologies can be applied to the overall enterprise or to major programs. As an alternative to a self-assessment using our Product Development Best Practices and Assessment (PDBPA) software or the Integrated Product and Process Development Program Assessment (IPPDPA) software, we offer this Assessment Workshop. The Assessment Workshop provides consultant guidance in performing and interpreting the self-assessment in a workshop setting with your company or program personnel. The organization would start this process by licensing either the PDBPA or IPPDPA software. It would then identify a small group of knowledgeable development personnel to participate in this process. The assessment worksheets from the software would be distributed to these personnel to review and be prepared to discuss within the workshop. One of our consultants would conduct a two-to three day workshop to assess the company's or program's practices against these best practices. Each of these practices would be discussed with the consultant probing the use of the best practices and providing guidance on meaning and importance of the best practices. At the conclusion to the assessment phase of the workshop, the results would be summarized, the gaps analyzed, and the high-payoff opportunities for improvement identified.
